The Path Less Taken... But Far More Fulfilling

It has been a very, very long and very, very hard and arduous journey getting to where I am now. I’m writing this because I’m likely to forget it in a few days. It will return, until it becomes a part of me, but for now, it seems, that this is just a passing clear understanding. This has happened to me in times past. It’s frustrating because I want them to last but I have learned that I’m just not prepared for it. They are sneak peeks, if you will, upsettingly easily forgettable but very powerful. They usually only last about three days but some have lasted a week or so.

Imagine a world where, despite what happened, you had no fear. Imagine a world where you could ask for whatever you desired and you would receive it: the time and how you received it would vary but you knew at least that you would receive it. Imagine a world where you had near limitless patience. Imagine a world where you never concerned yourself with what you were going to eat or how you were going to lose weight or if you should speak to this person or that. Imagine a world where you could focus on the things that you enjoy, asking for enlightenment and understanding and thus expanding your mental capacity. Imagine a world where anxiety made no sense to you because it was foreign in nature. Imagine being so at peace that you didn’t worry if you had only received a couple hours of sleep because you knew that it would all work out in your favor and in the favor of those who you impacted. Imagine having absolutely no worries at all.

Now, imagine a world where we don’t have any of that. Imagine a world where we buy a hundred different insurance policies only to have to then fight for assistance from the very companies we are paying. Imagine a world where we are worried about injury or being attacked. Imagine a world where we have limited the value of ourselves to simply how much money we make. This isn’t hard to imagine because we live in this world currently. The first world feels like a dream compared to the current world we live in.

We have all been born into a world where we have been taught to fear instead of to know God. We cannot see God and we cannot hear THEM or touch THEM. There has been so much controversy over if God even exists. There have been many gods invented in place of THEM. Many atrocious acts have been committed in the name of God as well. We also wonder why God would allow horrible things to happen to us if THEY “love” us. All of these things I know personally so this is no dig on anyone experiencing the same questions and angers and frustrations.

There is indeed a better way. It takes us back to where we used to be, where every person mattered. It takes us back to a time of peace and understanding. A time where we do not have to worry. The way is hard and it is difficult, do not be fooled. Yet God will do it for you. You will hurt in your heart and you will not believe but that’s ok, God will carry you. The pain will be unbearable at times and you will beg God to stop and THEY will for a time, until you can catch your breath. Then they will plunge you beneath that flood once again, teaching you how to remove your focus from the world and to trust wholly on the God who created it. Your questions will all be slowly and surely answered and you will ask even more of them. You will discover things that no man could ever teach you.

The road is hard… very hard. Know, however, that while you walk this road alone you will see why it hurts so much. You will come to despise the blindfolds that have been foisted upon you. You will understand that you have to walk back the way humans have come and that will be painful. It doesn’t sound painful, but it is. Luckily, as you walk this path, God will solidify in your heart a disdain for where humans have come. Imagine having the opportunity to personally know the one true God and all the hidden things of the world, and then having that stripped from you without your permission. And now you have to choose to walk a path that your parents didn’t know about or didn’t think was important. It’s a lonely path, you will surely cry, but you will understand, you will slowly understand all the things.

You will then begin to understand how you may just ask God for a thing and you know that you will receive it. You often won’t know when or how you will receive it but you know it will happen. Currently my patience, along with a number of other things, are being trained. So, I understand that pain of wanting something now and not receiving it. But I can testify that you will receive it, and the time will be perfect. You will also get a glimpse into seeing how certain things happened to make everything work out. And what do you do while you wait? Create. Reflect. Ask God, THEY will inspire you.

Lastly, I wanted to clear up a myth. Many, MANY people who “believe in God” are under the misguided impression that God wants them to be poor and forlorn, eating meager meals and wearing meager clothing. This is boulderdash. Imagine the creator of the entire world and the originator of every desire limiting THEIR children to a pea for breakfast and some milk for dinner and no currency to their name. Just look at Joseph, Job, Matthew and the like. They had money and they loved God. The money didn’t replace God, it was there but their dependency was on God. They didn’t feel the need to give it away to any churches or religious institutions either. They did as they desired and as the Spirit impressed them. You will learn that, as you walk with God, the voices of your pastors and religious elders and even your parents and friends will become more and more dull. You will realize that a relationship with God is not at all what you have heard about in sermons or online. It is near impossible to really explain what it’s like being in a relationship with God.

You begin to grow confidence to be absolutely honest with God even if you feel embarrassed by what you desire to share, because God is absolutely not embarrassed by it. God’s patience with you will astound you as well. You will confess to yourself that you have never met someone so patient and understanding. You will start off feeling guilty; that’s the teaching of the world, but God will teach you otherwise and you will learn to breathe easier and easier. It’s a learning process but the results are so peaceful and powerful and natural that you will be amazed. So, just let your heart roam free. Talk to God and tell THEM the things that you desire. Ask God the hard questions you never dared ask and watch what happens. God will do all that you ask and so much more. Now, be warned, you will indeed feel like you are eating scraps at some point in time. I’m there now. But know that God is giving you what you desire in the best absolute way possible. So, be angry and annoyed with God but just keep telling THEM so, it will only draw you two closer together.

Here’s to your lovely future!
